|Synonyms||Rabbit Anti RFP-tag pAb; Anti RFP-tag pAb|
|Description||Well-characterizated antibodies against short-sequence epitope tags are common in the study of protein expression in systems. RFP-tags are composed of 15-residue peptides, VNGHEFEIEGEGEGR, derived from amino acids 22-36 of red fluorescent protein (RFP) from the Discosoma sea anemone.|
|Immunogen||RFP epitope tag peptide VNGHEFEIEGEGEGR conjugated to KLH|
|Concentration||0.5 mg/ml, lyophilized with PBS, pH 7.4, containing 0.02% sodium azide|
|Reconstitution||Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with deionized water (or equivalent) to an antibody concentration of 0.5 mg/ml.|
|Specificity||GenScript RFP-tag Antibody, pAb, Rabbit specifically reacts with fusion proteins containing RFP-tags and RFP 亚博的官网地址iants, such as mCherry, tdTomato, DsRed, DsRed2, mOrange. The antibody does not react with GFP or GFP-tagged proteins.|
|Storage||The antibody is stable in lyophilized form if stored at -20°C or below. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for 2-3 weeks at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.|
|Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigator. The appropriate concentrations may be affected by secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, the sensitivity of the method of detection, temperature, the length of the incubations, and other factors. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product.
ELISA: 0.05-0.2 µg/ml
Western blot: 0.1-1.0 µg/ml
Western blot using ONE-HOUR WesternTM Kit: For quick results, GenScript ONE-HOUR WesternTM Kit L00204C is recommended. 10 µg of this antibody is mixed with 10 ml of WB solution for 8 cm x 8 cm membrane.
